HEALTH CARE DEPARTMENT
 
The goal of TED Ankara College Foundation Schools Health Center is to improve the health of its students and staff and to help maintain a healthy working and learning environment for both students and employees.

Health care services at TED Ankara College Foundation Schools provide a localized practice based on a global understanding and attitude in the field. “A Healthy School” covers the physical, mental and social well-being of students and staff in a school setting, and the services include all the evaluation and improvement activities needed for the provision and maintenance of a healthy climate and thus for the well-being of the whole school community. TED Ankara College provides extensive emergency healthcare services for its students and staff. As the school buildings are situated on a large campus area, each school building plus the administrative building contains a separate healthcare unit. All the healthcare units operate between 8.00 a.m-5.00 p.m. However, due to the schedule of the extracurricular activities held in school, the work hours can continue till 7.00 p.m. during the week. Additionally, middle and high school units are open between 9.00a.m-4.15p.m on Saturdays. Our institution sponsors employee activities that foster and develop a healthy and secure school environment. To that end, emergency response teams along with a well-equipped ambulance are always ready to respond to any emergency at the school between the hours of 7:50a.m- 10:00p.m.
 
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION DEPARTMENT
 
The Program Development, Measurement and Evaluation Department aims to increase the quality of its educational services by investigating, developing and implementing educational programs whilst evaluating models and techniques which enable the assessment of student achievement in specific areas. With these goals in mind PDMED works on program development and evaluation by analyzing teaching programs. The Department organizes seminars and studio work opportunities as part of its teacher in-service training to increase the quality of educational activities in the school. As part of its testing services, the administration continues to develop its test question bank and prepares school and student performance evaluation reports from acquired test results.
 
THE GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
 
Keeping the developmental stages of students in mind, the GCD aims to help students cope with difficulties before they turn into serious problems. Furthermore, the GCD supports students to raise social awareness, and helps them become compatible, communicative, healthy and creative individuals who are sensitive to their environment. The Guidance and Counseling Department, with its experienced staff of psychologists and counselors, uses a student-centered approach and works not only with students but at the same time with teachers, administrators and parents in order to help students with issues such as getting used to school, knowing who they are and career guidance. It is the goal of our student-centered GCD to provide the best services to the students by utilizing modern guidance techniques in accordance with the needs of the school community. One of the GCD’s most important duties is to provide students with helpful information about their choices for higher education as well as their future professions.
 
EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES

Our Directorate of Educational Technologies is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient use of technologies used to enrich students' learning experiences, improve teachers' teaching methods, and support school management's data analysis and decision-making processes in accordance with our institution's mission, vision, and goals.

The Portal system created by the Directorate of Educational Technologies is intended to properly handle our school's student and staff processes. This completely integrated system, which is available via a user-friendly interface, includes all processes from candidacy to graduation.

Student affairs, assessment and evaluation, program development, teacher affairs, electronic document management, psychological counseling and guidance, tracking students' physical development, quality management system, infirmary, counseling and security, staff attendance tracking system, occupational safety, and student transportation are all part of our portal system.

In addition, human resources, accounting, accounting, procurement, and inventory systems have been converted to Logo software and web services have been connected with our Portal application. All processes are thus managed and efficiently monitored from a single location.

Our software team is constantly improving and updating our portal system. We are constantly working to improve the user experience by incorporating user feedback.

The Portal system, built by our school's Educational Technologies Directorate, is a solution that streamlines student and staff operations, boosts efficiency, and promotes good communication among all stakeholders. In a safe and user-friendly environment, our technology supports our school's educational and management activities.

Our software team is constantly improving and updating our portal system. We are constantly working to improve the user experience by incorporating user feedback.

Educational technology resources include all tools and equipment used for effective and long-term learning. Our directorate is also in charge of investigating, evaluating, and developing existing online tools related to learning and teaching in accordance with our system, organizing in-service trainings to ensure our teachers' adaptation to the software we've developed and the technologies we've brought to our school, and closely monitoring developments in their field.

 
OVERSEAS CAREER COUNSELLING SERVICES

Under the umbrella of the Guidance and Counseling Department, our Overseas Education Counselling Office guides the high school students who plan to continue university education abroad. The primary role of the centre is to help those students and their families with their choices, preparations, and planning to prepare for studies at higher education institutions outside of Turkey. The goal is to expand students’ choices for university education and help them make the best and most appropriate decision. For this purpose, we deliver group presentations and make individual appointments with the students and parents.
 
LIBRARY
 
Our Research Libraries in the Primary, Middle and High Schools have been established according to the standards of the European Union, and along with our Documentation Center, they are exemplary among private school libraries in Turkey. The various collections in our libraries include books, periodicals, research materials, sheet music, audio-visual material (VCD, Video, Cassettes, Posters etc.) as well as every form of electronic information (on and off-line). The collection is constantly being updated according to current needs. Our Library and Documentation Center plays an important role in the implementation of our educational programs as they meet students’ needs for all kinds of information resources and help teachers in their professional development.

QUALITY AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
 
The Quality and Strategy Development Department builds appropriate strategies for further institutional development. The QSDD deals with all activities as detailed in TS-EN-ISO 9001:2008. These include achieving and maintaining quality standards, plans and in-service training to help further develop the institution’s employees both personally and professionally. QSDD also informs the community of worthwhile national and international events and projects whilst helping to establish the necessary communication ties for participation with related groups and establishments.
 
PRESS AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
 
Press and Public Relations Office is established to help promote and develop the public identity of the school. It helps our parents and the media follow closely the activities, new developments and successes of the school. Along with public relations and advertisement activities, the department deals with press relations and prepares written and visual publicity material. It also prepares and maintains the school website www.tedankara.k12.tr. It also works to foster essential healthy communication among school heads, teachers, students and parents.
 
SECURITY
 
In order to assure the security and protection of our students and employees, security guards are posted 24 hours a day at 9 separate stations around the school. Along with this, there are 119 surveillance cameras located throughout the buildings and around the campus. All statuary requirements are met in order to protect our buildings against the dangers of fire and flood. Additionally, the surroundings are continuously checked and kept in order throughout the year to ensure a safe environment for all our students and staff. Our security department checks every vehicle entering and leaving the school. A “Vehicle Sticker” is available to our parents. All other visitors to our school are given a “Guest Card” and all visits are electronically registered.
