Primary School

TED Ankara College Foundation Private Primary School recognizes that the primary school years are the most important for the development of a child intellectually, physically and socially. In light of our educational system’s primary principles of knowledge, love and tolerance, we surround our students with a democratic and modern educational atmosphere. Within this atmosphere our students are encouraged to develop their individual learning as well as group work skills. They are also encouraged through activities to improve their abilities in various fields of interest such as arts and sports.

With the leadership of its staff of experienced educators and the physical, technological and social facilities provided by our campus, TED Ankara College Foundation Private School offers students the opportunity to express themselves freely. Besides the educational programs determined by the Ministry of Education, the school offers a wide range of optional subjects like a second language, information technology, drama, scientific applications and brainteaser classes. Furthermore, the character education program starts from preschool in order for students to adopt positive characteristic skills and global values.

With rising urbanisation and the negative effects of the digital world, special areas for games are created in primary school so that the children will not be eliminated from game play, and the gaming enviroment. Students can play hopscotch, rope jumping, and various other traditional street games with tournaments being held between classes. English education, which is conducted in 1st and 2nd grades through basic, student-centered activities, games, plays, songs, short movies and stories, becomes more intense in 3rd grade with students being introduced to reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar. Moreover, some research has been done and programmes have been developed to make our students use English with more self-confidence.
