International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP), headquartered in Geneva, is a pre-university, two-year comprehensive program for students aged 16–19. Offering a bilingual diploma, the IBDP is implemented in 5,400 schools across 159 countries.

The IB program aims to nurture inquisitive, knowledgeable, and compassionate young people who contribute to a more peaceful world by promoting intercultural understanding and respect.

Encouraging attributes such as inquiry, knowledge, critical thinking, communication, principled behavior, open-mindedness, empathy, risk-taking, balance, and reflection, the IB Program is more than just a learning style; it represents a way of life.

The IBDP not only focuses on academic success but also aims to develop students who are self-disciplined, possess advanced thinking skills, embrace lifelong learning, are aware of their social responsibilities, and are “global citizens” who understand and appreciate diverse cultures. IBDP graduates may benefit from horizontal transfer opportunities and scholarships ranging from 25% to 75% at private universities in Türkiye, depending on their diploma scores.

The IB Diploma Program, structured to complement the National Education curriculum, includes six core subject groups, each offering a range of options, depicted schematically by a circular model.

Further details can be found on our school portal and the IB website.

Oxford AQA International GCSE and AS/A Level Certification Programs

Since the 2018–2019 academic year, TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School has offered the Oxford AQA International GCSE and AS/A Level Certification Programs.

The Oxford AQA International GCSE is among the world’s most widely preferred and recognized international certificates for students aged 14–16. The program provides an integrative learning experience, where students develop essential skills such as reasoning, analysis, IT proficiency, and problem-solving, alongside teamwork and research abilities. Skills acquired through the Oxford AQA International GCSE Program serve as a foundation for the AS/A Level Program. Each subject requires an average of 120 instructional hours, and students sit for GCSE exams at the end of 10th grade.

The Oxford AQA International AS/A Level Program is a two-year certification program for students aged 16–19, implemented in grades 11 and 12. Adapted from the UK educational system, the program is typically pursued after successfully completing the GCSE level. The AS/A Level Program prepares students for university education. The AS (supplementary) and A Level (advanced) qualifications are sequential; students must complete the AS level before progressing to the A Level. Exams for the Oxford AQA International GCSE and AS/A Level programs are held at our school, an accredited Oxford AQA Examination Center, in May and June, with results announced in August and certificates distributed in October.

Further details are available on our school portal and the Oxford AQA website.
