TED Ankara College was the first school established by the Foundation in 1931 and the first private Turkish school using English as the medium of instruction.

The school’s emblem reflects the history of its establishment with the crescent from the national flag, the torch symbolizing education embraced by the association, and five stars showing gratitude and respect to the first five administrative committee members. 

As the school grew by opening its primary, middle, and high school sections, TED Ankara College gained a special place of honor and distinction in the history of Turkish education. In 1963 the administration of the school was turned over to the TED Ankara College Foundation.

After having provided education in Yenişehir from 1937 to the end of 2003-2004 academic year, the institution moved to the new campus in İncek, which was built on 309 acres. Today, TED Ankara College is a continually developing institution located just outside of Ankara with more than 6 thousand students, 600 teachers and support staff, and 35 thousand alumni. With the facilities provided for all staff members, students and parents alike, our institution goes beyond the traditional concept of primary and secondary education by fostering a “World-of-Dreams” atmosphere for the next generation which encourages creativity, discovery, and a love for school life and learning.
